Our old flatbottom rowboat, acquired in Haliburton County long ago by the artist's mother, is illuminated by the late afternoon sun at the Bateman beach on Lake Boshkung. The cottage, woods, and shoreline are the subject of many paintings by the Bateman family of artists: Ross Bateman, his brother Robert, and nephew Alan.

...the Boshkung Rowboat returning to the Haliburton soil.

This handsome gic1ee reproduction has been "painted" directly onto real, extra-fine canvas using computer technology and 512 shades of dense, water-based ink. It is then protected with a coat of specially formulated varnish. The production cost of giclee print ing is about ten times that of a fine litographic limited edition on 100% rag.

The result is startling, giving the same impression as an original painting. Each limited edition print emerges with the lush colours and subtle textures of the artist's hand...of brushwork on canvas. The canvas is stretched onto wooden stretchers, ready for framing, without the necessity of cost ly mats or glass. Also available in giclee on the highest quality German Torchon paper.
